Summary:
Inspired by Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula” the film tells the story of Thomas Hutter, who lives in the tranquil German town of Wisborg. An employee of a real estate company, he is married to Ellen, who often has melancholic moments.
Hutter’s boss, Knock, sends him to Transylvania to Count Orlok’s castle, as the Count wishes to buy a house in Wisborg. During the contract negotiations, Orlok is particularly taken with a strand of hair of Hutter’s wife.
Hutter soon recognizes the evil he is dealing with. However, he is imprisoned while Orlok, bringing the plague with him, makes his way by ship to Wisborg.
