The Civil Aviation Administration of China, the agency responsible for setting best practices on aircrafts and in airports in China, is advising flight attendants traveling to and from high-risk countries to wear medical masks, gloves, goggles, hats, and diapers so as to be able to avoid the lavatories. Airline bathrooms have been suggested as a possible source of COVID infection. Is this really the best answer to a safe flight during the pandemic? Wouldn’t a UV light in the restroom to kill germs make more sense? Would you get on a flight if you had to wear a diaper?
