hey everybody Welcome to The Telltale Club recording studio I've done a new Loop for you guys which is free a sample now listen what I did today I had my drum track which is a standard drum track plug-in from the logic pro plugins department and after a bit you kind of get I don't know I get a little bit bored with the sound because it is a you know synthesized drums are all quite semisomy so I stuck in there one of the Apple loops and I used a Congo um I think it was called I should really know shouldn't I I'm sorry about that guys I can't remember what it was called but it was a it was a drum beat and it's a sample rather than an electronically created one and what logic pro did is they used real instruments to create these samples so they sound much more real okay so it's a kind of bongo drums Congo slight jungle now you can't really hear it when you listen to The Loop you can't hear it but it is there and it's subliminal and I'm a real sucker for putting in subliminal things because what subliminal things do and I use these in my self-hypnosis tapes as well is they tell the person listening things without them knowing they're being told it's really good for vibing so if you want to put someone in a certain sort of mood if you want to you know sex up the action a bit you can you can do that if you want to get somebody to go to sleep I did a lullaby earlier you know and when you're thinking about lullabies the last thing you want to do is sort of thumping beats so or but you can also I mean with I won't talk about lullabies now I'll talk about those another day but you can also engage people and make them like you or make them dislike you you know these human beings are so tuned on to these tiny little idiosyncratic musical um what would I call them sort of they're decorative Musical bits you know layers that we don't necessarily know are there but they're filling us up with something we don't know what film you know I started as a musician for film tracks and and so I'm quite aware of that now you know um but I think we're all a bit aware you know we do our Tick Tock videos and stuff we want to give an impression of you know the mood that this Tick Tock video should be in or this Facebook real how how do I want my listeners to engage with this I want to know that track doesn't work oh but this one does do you see what I mean now guys you can make some money on Tick Tock with um with your loops and stuff so you know think about grabbing the free soft gray GarageBand and doing some because they will pay you I I don't have Tick Tock royalties I get Facebook royalties because Tick Tock wants to charge me and I just I don't need them in my life so it's not really relevant for me but if you're just starting out and you want to sign up to a distributor like tunecore or something you pay 7.99 a month and they will automatically get royalties for you whenever anyone uses your Tick Tock snippet of Music how cool is that I mean that's pretty cool isn't it it is a way to make money it's a way to afford your career okay you're not going to be a famous musician at Wembley but you can make money so you know really good idea there sing baby sing ringtone what did I do I put the double drums on and oh I used I used a plug-in which panned it it was warped layers I think it was called and it panned it from one ear to the next well the other because you should only have two generally um so it's quite interesting it starts off you think of the speaker's broken but then it comes over your head and it passes to the other ear and I think that sounds really um sensual actually it's quite exciting quite exciting so um yeah go and make your own play with play around remember you can get the free logic pro for 90 days you can also get low um sort of older versions probably free because you know people aren't sort of using them so much but to be honest it hasn't changed that much you know most of these upgrades they they're upgraded so that they can get more money out of you and you know you buy a new computer with a new operating system and then you have to buy all the new software etc etc it's a bit of a con to be honest so don't fall for all that go go for um GarageBand and you can do all this on GarageBand remember um I just because I can't say and I have to tune everything so and I couldn't really do that on GarageBand GarageBand is better I would say for electronic instrumentalists okay that's my humble opinion catch you later guys things
