Da: Det var en kølig efterårsdag, da Mikkel så ud gennem vinduet på sit kontor.
En: It was a cool autumn day when Mikkel looked out the window of his office.

Da: Bladene på træerne havde skiftet farve, og julens lys begyndte at skinne i byen.
En: The leaves on the trees had changed colors, and the Christmas lights began to shine in the city.

En: But Mikkel's thoughts were not on Christmas preparations.

Da: Han ventede på en vigtig opringning fra Anna.
En: He was waiting for an important call from Anna.
