In Severed Conscience we came to the realization that we are held in silos, echo chambers that reduce us to the state of reacting.  We are not responding rationally, we are reacting to stimuli aimed at our eyes.  While music is part of social media, the medium is primarily a visual platform where color and movement bathe our eyes as our thinking is entrained with something not of our own choosing.

In Part One of AI Will Always be Watching, we turn our attention to some very concerning statistics regarding online habits and mental health in teens.  As adults, we are not as affected by our online activities as we have more years in the “real” world that anchor us to healthy behavior.  That said, the average adult American has 7.1 social media accounts and spends 145 minutes per day online.  Shockingly we will see that teenage girls are spending 5.3 hours online.  Despite more studies indicating that we must heed the signs of social media addiction, we will review the latest AI features from Google and Chat GPT.  While impressive technically, they are an onerous sign that more and more we will be observed by our devices.

We have been manipulated. Severed Conscience is a prison of the mind.
