In this portion we read of Yahweh’s call of Abram to leave his family and all that is familiar so that he can become a father of many nations. Yahweh gives Abram a promise, then he adds to it and expands it to include nations and fruitfulness. Abram chooses to believe Yahweh and it is accounted to him as righteousness. What we learn is that as Yahweh reveals himself, Abram begins to create sacred space and calls on the name of the LORD. What is this phrase calling on the name of the LORD? We discuss some thoughts around this important phrase and its connection to prayer. We hope you are encouraged and gain insight into the power of our prayers of faith, where we call on Yahweh to do what He has promised to do.
