Génesis 12: Escogidos para ser Bendición

Génesis 12:1-9 RVA2015:
1 Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Abram: “Vete de tu tierra, de tu parentela y de la casa de tu padre, a la tierra que te mostraré. 2 Yo haré de ti una gran nación. Te bendeciré y engrandeceré tu nombre, y serás bendición. 3 Bendeciré a los que te bendigan, y a los que te maldigan maldeciré. Y en ti serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra”.
4 Abram se fue, como el SEÑOR le había dicho, y Lot fue con él. Abram tenía setenta y cinco años cuando salió de Harán. 5 Abram tomó a Sarai su mujer, a Lot su sobrino y todos los bienes que habían acumulado y a las personas que habían adquirido en Harán; y partieron hacia la tierra de Canaán. Después llegaron a la tierra de Canaán, 6 y Abram atravesó aquella tierra hasta la encina de Moré, en las inmediaciones de Siquem. Los cananeos estaban entonces en la tierra. 7 Y se apareció el SEÑOR a Abram y le dijo: “A tu descendencia daré esta tierra”. Y él edificó allí un altar al SEÑOR, quien se le había aparecido. 8 Después se trasladó a la región montañosa al oriente de Betel y extendió allí su tienda, entre Betel al oeste y Hai al este. Allí edificó un altar al SEÑOR e invocó el nombre del SEÑOR. 9 Después partió de allí y se dirigió progresivamente hacia el Néguev.


Este capítulo es majestuoso. Aquí vemos un nuevo pacto que Dios hace con un ser humano: Abram. Con Noé fue un pacto para salvarlo a él y a su familia de la condenación; con Abram fue un pacto para bendecirlo a él y a su descendencia.
Es grandioso ver cómo el Dios Todopoderoso se inclina para mirar en la Tierra a personas con un corazón dispuesto. Dios vio en Abram alguien digno de introducir las bendiciones de Dios al ser humano. Dios prometió bendecirlo a él y a su descendencia, dándoles tierras y prosperidad en todas sus empresas. ¡Además, tendrían la protección del Señor de tal manera que el que se atreviera a maldecirlos, Dios les enviaría maldición; y si alguien les diera bendición, Dios enviaría bendición a ellos! ¡Y no solo Él haría de él una gran nación, sino que la bendición de Abram cubrirá a todas las naciones de la tierra!

¡Esta declaración del pacto de Dios con Abram debería emocionarnos muchísimo! Porque Dios está concediendo a la humanidad una oportunidad de que fueran bendecidos en la Tierra.
Primero, esa bendición comenzó a correr por toda la descendencia de Abraham, Isaac y Jacob. Esa nación prometida se llamó Israel. Además, todo el que no era Israelita pero se asociaban con ellos, disfrutaban también de las bendiciones de Dios derramadas a Israel.
Siglos después, Dios, al ver la rebeldía de israel, realizó uno de sus planes inmensurables, y fue venir a este mundo y mostrar su amor por la humanidad, trayendo salvación y vida eterna, y también conceder las bendiciones de Dios a toda la humanidad, no importando si son descendientes judios o no, pues la bendición de Abraham no está sujeta a la ley de Moisés sino ¡para todo aquel que crea por fe en Jesuscristo!

¿Eres creyente? ¿Vives una vida justa? ¿Amas a Dios? Entonces, ¡comienza a reclamar tus bendiciones si no las has recibido! Haciendo esto, ¡tu hogar será beneficiado por tu fe, pues transmitirá estas bendiciones a tu familia, la misericordia de Dios los abrazara, la gracia de Dios les llegará en abundancia y las ventanas de los cielos estarán abiertas para ellos!

Escudriñemos:.
Compara el verso 3 de este capítulo de Génesis con la declaración de Pablo a los Gálatas con Gálatas 3:29: "Y ya que son de Cristo, ciertamente son descendencia de Abraham, herederos conforme a la promesa."

Observa la afirmación de Pablo cuando certifica que todo el que ha aceptado a Jesucristo es digno de recibir las bendiciones de Abraham. Usa el método llamado PARAFRASEARLO, y escribe el concepto de esta enseñanza con estos versos en tus propias palabras.

Que el Señor Jesucristo escuche tu oración para que puedas disfrutar de las bendiciones de Abraham, tú y tu familia.

Genesis 12: Chosen To Be A Blessing
Genesis 12:1-9 NLT:
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth—his livestock and all the people he had taken into his household at Haran—and headed for the land of Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan, Abram traveled through the land as far as Shechem. There he set up camp beside the oak of Moreh. At that time, the area was inhabited by Canaanites.
Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him. After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord. Then Abram continued traveling south by stages toward the Negev.


This chapter is majestic. Here we see a new covenant that God makes with a human being: Abram. With Noah it was a pact to save him and his family from the doom; with Abram was a covenant to bless him and his descendants.
It is great to see how Almighty God bends down to look at people on Earth with a willing heart. God saw in Abram someone worthy of introducing the blessings of God to the human being. God promised to bless him and his descendants, giving them land and prosperity in all their undertakings. In addition, they would have the protection of the Lord in such a way that whoever dares to curse them, God would send a curse on them; and if someone gave them a blessing, God would send a blessing to them! And not only He would make him a great nation, but Abram's blessing will cover all the nations of the Earth!

This declaration of God's covenant with Abram should thrill us tremendously! Because God is granting humanity an opportunity to be blessed on Earth.
First, that blessing began to flow through all the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That promised nation was called Israel. Furthermore, everyone who was not an Israelite but associated with them also enjoyed God's blessings poured out on Israel.
Centuries later, God, seeing the rebellion of Israel, carried out one of his immeasurable plans, and that was to come to this world and show His love for humanity, bringing salvation and eternal life, and also granting God's blessings to all humanity, regardless of whether they are Jewish descendants, because the blessing of Abraham is not subject to the law of Moses but for everyone who believes by faith in Jesus Christ!

Are you a believer? Do you live a righteous life? Do you love God? So start claiming your blessings if you haven't received them! By doing this, your home will be benefited by your faith, because it will transmit these blessings to your family, the mercy of God will embrace them, the grace of God will come to them in abundance and the windows of heaven will be open for them!

Let's scrutinize:
Compare verse 3 of this chapter of Genesis with Paul's statement to the Galatians with Galatians 3:29: “And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.”

Notice Paul's statement when he certifies that everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ is worthy to receive the blessings of Abraham. Use the method called PARAPHRASING IT, and write the concept of this teaching with these verses in your own words.

May the Lord Jesus Christ hear your prayer so that you can enjoy the blessings of Abraham, you and your family.
