Génesis 24: Tu pareja te necesita

En este capítulo, Abraham envía a su mayordomo Eliecer a buscar esposa para su hijo Isaac en la región donde habitaban sus parientes.
Voy a leer la última parte de este capítulo pero no olvides leerlo completamente.


Genesis 24:56-67
56 Pero él les dijo:
—No me hagan demorar; ya que el SEÑOR ha dado éxito a mi viaje, déjenme ir para que vaya a mi señor.
57 Ellos le respondieron:
—Llamemos a la joven y preguntémosle lo que piensa.
58 Llamaron a Rebeca y le preguntaron:
—¿Irás tú con este hombre?
Ella les respondió:
—Sí, iré.
59 Entonces dejaron ir a Rebeca su hermana, a su nodriza, al siervo de Abraham y a sus hombres. 60 Y bendijeron a Rebeca diciéndole:
—Tú eres nuestra hermana. Que seas madre de millares de decenas de millares. Que tus descendientes posean las ciudades de sus enemigos.
61 Entonces se levantaron Rebeca y sus criadas, subieron a los camellos y siguieron al hombre. El siervo tomó a Rebeca y se fue.
62 Aconteció que Isaac venía del pozo Beer-lajai-roí, porque habitaba en el Néguev. 63 Hacia el atardecer Isaac había salido al campo para meditar, y alzando sus ojos miró, y he aquí unos camellos que venían. 64 También Rebeca alzó sus ojos, vio a Isaac y descendió del camello. 65 Porque había preguntado al siervo: “¿Quién es ese hombre que viene por el campo hacia nosotros?”, y el siervo había respondido: “Él es mi señor”. Entonces ella tomó el velo y se cubrió.
66 El siervo contó a Isaac todo lo que había hecho. 67 Luego Isaac la introdujo en la tienda de Sara, su madre, y tomó a Rebeca, que vino a ser su mujer; y él la amó. Así se consoló Isaac después de la muerte de su madre.

Quisiera enfocar el devocional de hoy al final de la historia, cuando Isaac ve a Rebeca, su futura esposa.
Antes, él se estaba sintiendo solo, especialmente porque su madre Sara había fallecido. El estaba de luto ya por muchos días.
Su padre vio esa necesidad y busco pareja para él en medio de sus parientes.
Cuando Eliecer llegó con la mujer ideal, la vida de Isaac cambió. El se acercó de inmediato a la caravana que regresaba de Nacor. Isaac estaba seguro que la mujer que venía ahí era la persona que iba a unirse a él para toda su vida. De ella saldría el heredero de la bendición de Dios para que la bendición de Abraham se siguiera cumpliendo.
Lo que me llama la atención es la reacción de ambos. Esa expectativa pura de dos jóvenes que se van a encontrar por primera vez, pero que ambos saben que fue Dios quien los reunió en esta cita amorosa!
Ella vio cómo Dios guió a este mayordomo, y vio cómo las señales de Dios se fueron cumpliendo. Ella sabía que su vida estaba destinada para este momento y convertirse en la ayuda idónea de alguien que la estaba esperando con ansias.

Isaac vio también cómo Dios obró milagrosamente guiando a eliezer para que viajara una gran distancia a un lugar que él no conocía, y que ahora regresaba con una mujer que había sido seleccionada divinamente para que lo acompañara en la aventura de la vida, así como su madre lo había hecho con su padre Abraham.
El estaba a punto de encontrarse con su otro yo.

En ese momento que se ven se produce una conexión de almas, de dos seres que se habían puesto en las manos de Dios, que aceptaron el compromiso serio del matrimonio y que debían confiar que Dios los iba a bendecir.

La biblia remarca que Isaac tenía un vacío, y ese vacío lo llenó Rebeca.

Esta es una gran lección de vida. Debemos ser conscientes de que tu pareja es aquella que va a ser tu apoyo en momentos de aflicción. Que tú llenas ese vacío de su corazón.
Querida dama, así como adan sintió ese vacío y también Isaac se sentía adolorido por la pérdida de su madre, Eva fue la que llenó a Adan para que no se sintiera más solo, y Rebeca consuelo el alma de Isaac.

En los problemas y en las dificultades, por favor, no se alejen! el propósito es que el que está fuerte fortalece al débil. El que esté vulnerable ante alguna circunstancia, el otro debe tomar acción y ser sabio para dar palabras de aliento, abrazos calurosos, y acciones valerosas, y asi ayudar a su pareja a navegar esas aguas turbulentas de momentos difíciles.
No olvidemos los votos de "en las buenas y en las malas, en salud y enfermedad, en tristezas y en alegrías, en riqueza o pobreza, hasta que la muerte los separe."
Apoyense mutuamente.

Genesis 24: Your partner needs you.

In this chapter, Abraham sends his steward Eliezer to find a wife for his son Isaac in the region where his relatives lived. I'm going to read the last part of this chapter but don't forget to read it completely.

Genesis 24:56-67 NLT:
But he said, “Don’t delay me. The Lord has made my mission successful; now send me back so I can return to my master.”
“Well,” they said, “we’ll call Rebekah and ask her what she thinks.” So they called Rebekah. “Are you willing to go with this man?” they asked her.
And she replied, “Yes, I will go.”
So they said good-bye to Rebekah and sent her away with Abraham’s servant and his men. The woman who had been Rebekah’s childhood nurse went along with her. They gave her this blessing as she parted: “Our sister, may you become the mother of many millions! May your descendants be strong and conquer the cities of their enemies.”
Then Rebekah and her servant girls mounted the camels and followed the man. So Abraham’s servant took Rebekah and went on his way.
Meanwhile, Isaac, whose home was in the Negev, had returned from Beer-lahai-roi. One evening as he was walking and meditating in the fields, he looked up and saw the camels coming. When Rebekah looked up and saw Isaac, she quickly dismounted from her camel. “Who is that man walking through the fields to meet us?” she asked the servant.
And he replied, “It is my master.” So Rebekah covered her face with her veil. Then the servant told Isaac everything he had done.
And Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent, and she became his wife. He loved her deeply, and she was a special comfort to him after the death of his mother.


I would like to focus today's devotional on the end of the story, when Isaac saw Rebekah, his future wife.
Before, he was feeling lonely, especially since his mother Sarah had passed away. He was in mourning already for many days. His father saw this need and looked for a partner for him among his relatives.
When Eliezer arrived with the ideal woman, Isaac's life changed. He immediately approached the caravan returning from Nahor. Isaac was sure that the woman who came there was the person who was going to join him for the rest of his life. From her would come the heir of God's blessing so that Abraham's blessing would continue to be fulfilled.
What strikes me is the reaction of both. That pure expectation of two young people who are going to meet for the first time, but both know that it was God who brought them together in this loving relationship!
She saw how God guided this steward, and she saw how God's signs were fulfilling. She knew that her life was destined for this moment and to become the suitable helper for someone who was eagerly awaiting her.
Isaac also saw how God miraculously led Eliezer to travel a great distance to a place he did not know, and to return with a woman who had been divinely selected to accompany him on the adventure of life, just as his mother had done with his father Abraham. He was about to meet his other half.
At that moment when they see each other, there is a connection between the souls of two beings who had placed themselves in the hands of God, who accepted the serious commitment of marriage and who had to trust that God was going to bless them.
The Bible remarks that Isaac had a void, and that void was filled by Rebekah.

This is a great life lesson. We must be aware that your partner is the one who will be your support in times of distress, that you fill that void in his heart.
Dear lady, just as Adam felt that emptiness and Eve was the one who filled it so that he would not feel alone anymore, and Isaac felt pained by the loss of his mother and Rebeca gave comfort to his soul, be the ideal complement for your partner.
In troubles and difficulties, please do not turn away! The purpose is that the one who is strong strengthens the weak. Whoever is vulnerable to some circumstance, the other must take action and be wise to give words of encouragement, warm hugs and courageous actions, and thus help their partner navigate those turbulent waters of difficult times.
Let's not forget the vows: "through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, in sadness and in joy, in riches or in poverty, until death do us part." Support each other, remember that together you are one flesh.
