show moreThe processes include how you get your clients. For example do you have the clarity around who your ideal client is, the type of business they are, or what your niche will be? All of these are essential, and are covered in the Virtual Leap into HR Consulting Bootcamp Plus and Bootcamp Flex.
Looking at the mental challenges, this brings with it various barriers including money, as you have to invoice, and ask to be paid, whereas in the corporate world, there is a finance person or team behind you who does all of this.
In this episode sarah is joined by James Carman, the founder of 365 People Support. James’ niche is hospitality, and in particular overcoming people challenges in businesses such as pubs and restaurants.
James talks honestly about how it took him 3 months of running his business before he got his first client. He was confident that he had all his ducks in a row, and was ready to go, and spent that time building relationships and trust with key businesses that he had researched were within his niche market.
James is also currently studying his ILM in coaching, and is looking forward to making coaching new start-ups part of his niche moving forward.
