On April 12, 2016, 16-year-old Mekayla Bali vanished from her hometown of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, after a series of strange actions, including withdrawing money, visiting a bus depot multiple times without purchasing a ticket, and waiting alone in a coffee shop. Her last known sighting was at 1:45 p.m. that day, and despite extensive investigations by the RCMP, multiple theories ranging from voluntary runaway to abduction, and countless tips, her whereabouts remain unknown. Mekayla’s disappearance continues to haunt her family, community, and the investigators who tirelessly search for answers, yet no breakthrough has occurred. Age-progressed images have been released, but the mystery remains unsolved, with hope for her return still lingering.
