show moreThe bond we have with our pets is often stronger than even our human relationships, but how do you cope when you lose them?
That amazing unconditional love that our pets show us and the non-judgemental nature of our relationships with them is really powerful, so it's not surprising that when they are no longer with us, we feel a huge sense of grief.
But despite the widespread ownership of pets, other people don't always understand the grief associated with losing a pet.
In this episode, Steve is joined by Wendy Andrew, founder of The Scottish Pet Bereavement Counselling Service and Author of How To Recover From Pet Loss.
Wendy is known as 'the pet loss lady' and talks about why it's important to acknowledge the grief associated with losing our non-human friends. She also shares how all of us can be more empathetic when others go through pet loss.
