Explanation of the 37th hadith in the Heart Therapy Series:
The Prophet salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam said: (Who will take these statements from me to apply them or teach them to one who will apply them?) Abu Hurairah said: (I shall O Messenger of Allah.) So he took my hand and enumerated five and said: (Avoid the unlawful and you will be the best worshipper among people. Be satisfied with what Allah allotted for you and you will be the richest of people. Be kind to your neighbor and you will be a believer. Love for the people what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim. And do not laugh too much, for indeed excessive laughter kills the heart.)
Reported by al-Tirmidhi (2305) and ibn Majah (4217). Ibn Hajar declared it to be hasan and so did al-Albani (al-Silsilah al-Sahihah 930).
