Exel is a pop-rap artist. He grew up in a low-income family and faced a lot of bullying throughout school which really hurt his mental health. He was in and out of therapy during his early teens and he used music as a coping mechanism. Exel grew up on pop, rap, and rock music. He was in rock bands previously, but he feels he has finally found his identity through pop/rap music. He uses his music to help to spread positivity and awareness about where he comes from. He has been lucky enough to have gone viral in the past on Facebook with some Post Malone covers. That really kicked off Exel's music career as many big producers caught word of those covers.
