Anyone who can remember those days will remember the screens of the
computers were small. It could not fit full-sized documents. Managers had to
scroll left-and-right as well as up-and-down. Presentations were equally difficult
for this reason. Managers would have their staff print out multiple copies for
meetings or presentations.
Managers also discovered that computers could easily create multiple types of
reports. These reports would be much more time-consuming and difficult to do
manually. Computers can crunch numbers, summarize, flip the numbers, and
print out all kinds of derivations of the report
