I offer to Him the Sacrifice of Thanksgiving and call on the Name of the LORD, Who is your Helper. Psalm 116:17, Hebrew 13:6mm
To Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Thank God in everything, no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give Thanks, for this is the will of God for you who are in Christ Jesus, the Revealer and Mediator of God’s will. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Everything – means "all" in the sense of "each (every) part that applies.
Thanks- The Greek word for “thanks” in this verse is eucharisteo. It reveals a mystery in Christ on what to Give thanks for in Everything.
The root word of eucharisteo is charis, meaning “grace.” Jesus took the bread and saw it as grace and gave thanks. Matthew 26:26, Mark 14:22
Thanksgiving core-idea is "favor, grace" God freely extending Himself (His favor, grace), reaching toward you because He is disposed to bless (be near) you.
Through Christ, you have God‘s Grace, God Extending Himself toward you to bless, you with His Nearness – His Presence with You, Who empowers you and Makes you ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner His strength and power into you; so you are self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency, to Give Thanks in Everything. God Himself be the source and initiator of your thanks and praise to him in prayer.
Philippians 4:13
Therefore, you can constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
Hebrews 13:15
Jesus is our Example:
He took a loaf [of bread], and when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and gave it to them saying, This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”Luke 22:19
He took the bread and knew it to be God’s daily gift and gave thanks. Eucharisteo, thanksgiving, envelopes the Greek word for grace, charis. But it also holds its derivative, the Greek word chara, meaning “joy.” Charis. Grace. Eucharisteo. Thanksgiving. Chara. Joy. (Eucharisteo Conversation) Now, let’s think for a moment about what Jesus’s eucharisteo meant From Jesus perspective.
Thank you, Father, that my body, symbolized by this bread, is about to be brutally broken and I am about to be (momentarily) damned by your wrath (Isaiah 53:10) so that you will receive supreme glory in being able to forgive undeserving sinners (Philippians 2:11) and I will share eternally full joy (John 15:11; Psalm 16:11) with hundreds of millions of forgiven sinners made righteous through my sacrifice (Isaiah 53:11).
Jesus’ thanks was not based on his present circumstances. He felt thankful to the Father for the grace and glory that was coming because of the cross and this gave him joy. Eucharisteo.
Just as He says to you: My grace, My favor and loving-kindness and mercy, unfailing love is enough for you, sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear any trouble, distress, worry manfully; for My strength and power are made perfect, fulfilled and completed and show themselves most effective in your weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest; yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell upon me!”
2 Corinthians 12:9
It is good to give Thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. Psalms 92:1
Now since God is Omniscient – He Knows All Things, He is absolute perfect in every area, if He says that it's Good then, it must be GOOD.
When the LORD says from His Perspective That It Is Good to Give Thanks to Him, It Must Be a Vital Part of your Life interacting with Him in prayer.
