The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.

Brad is first joined by Edwith Theogene, Director of Racial Equity and Justice at CAP Action.

The two discuss President Biden's robust whole government approach to equity, his commencement speech this past weekend at Morehouse College, which is predominately attended by African-American students, and how the Supreme Court's SFFA vs Harvard decision has hurt DEI efforts around the country.

Edwith also details 'Project 2025,' a right-wing effort to weaponize a potential second Trump term.

Then, Brad Bauman, a Principal in the Raben Group's Strategic Communications practice, talks presidential politics with Brad.
Specifically, he examines President Biden's re-election efforts, and what messaging that Democrats should be using to convince voters to given Biden a second term over Trump.

In her role at CAP, Edwith Theogene leads American Progress’ efforts to develop, communicate, and implement policy ideas that provide a new way forward for a range of equity challenges in an increasingly diverse America, with a particular focus on race and equity.
