È allievo di Jan Witteveen e Gigi Dall'Igna, ha un'esperienza mostruosa nella progettazione, nello sviluppo e nella realizzazione in 125, 250, MotoGP, WSBK, MX, Motard, Motorally, Parigi - Dakar. Ha sviluppato prodotti racing e prodotti da strada come la RSV4 ed ha lavorato in MotoGP e Superbike, sia in pista che in progettazione.
