“Peace is not the absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition of benevolence, confidence, justice.” Wrote Spinoza, the Dutch philosopher in the 17th century.

In this episode of Inhabiting the world, we are going to reflect and meditate on benevolence, a word that simply means to wish good, to have good intentions toward every living being, including oneself, because it is not possible to love another if we don’t love ourselves.
Benevolence is present in warmth, friendliness, compassion, kindness, it is not neutral or indifferent.
