Inner Sanctum was a radio anthology series that aired on the NBC from January 7, 1941 to October 5, 1952. It was based on the popular Inner Sanctum series of books. Many established stars played roles in the series, including Peter Lorre, Helen Hayes, Mary Astor, Frank Sinatra and Orson Welles. It's been said that the listening to the show was like celebrating Halloween every week.
