New York City Council Member I. Daneek Miller is the representative for Council District 27 in Southeast Queens and its communities of Cambria Heights, Hollis, Jamaica, St. Albans, Queens Village, and Springfield Gardens.
Prior to beginning his tenure at the Council in 2014, Daneek was a prominent figure in the labor movement, fighting for both public transit commuters and working families as the President of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1056.
