In this episode, I interview Dr. Natalia Rappa, a clinical psychologist with specialization in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma. Natalia works with adolescents and adults and uses CBT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR. She is also someone who has experienced symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma herself and many of the strategies she teaches are what she has used first hand.
We discuss the following topics:
-Starting off with a new therapist and tips for best practices
-The internal debate of what is "therapy level"
-Natalia's practices for clearing energy before/after sessions
-The most challenging and the most rewarding part of being a therapist
-Natalia's approach to therapy through processing past trauma
-The power of reflection and having someone mirror your thoughts and feelings back to you
-How to set boundaries for work/life as a therapist and with clients
-The link between ADHD & Anxiety/Depression
And much more! Reach out to us to let us know how this episode resonates.
