show moreFollowing a highly successful four-year collegiate career as a goalie with the University of Massachusetts, Jen Nardi remains busy and committed to sharing her love for her sport. Jen is both in her 4th season as the Head Coach of the Manhattanville College Women’s Lacrosse Team as well as the Executive Director of The Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Program, a girls club level lacrosse program based out of Brooklyn, New York.
Jen discusses the helping skills that she utilizes in her work as a coach and in building an organization. Finding herself in athletic leadership roles from childhood, Jen focuses on teaching to love the game and that winning is only fulfilling when done with integrity. Jen interacts with others honestly, authentically and finds the use of self-disclosure to be a powerful mechanism in fostering trusting relationships.
Her leadership with the Brooklyn Crescents is born from her strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Her leadership approach is strength base in nature, she consistently practices empathy and she always makes sure that all of her players, from college to club, know that she deeply cares about them as people.
