Tonight we speak with Stefanie Condon-Oldreive. When her very healthy father passed away from pancreatic cancer, Stefanie was searching for answers. Little did she know there was very little information out there for pancreatic cancer and support for the disease was no better. Sometimes people were told to go home and get their affairs in order. this was unacceptable to Stefanie and she has created Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society and turned it into a national charity dedicated to both increasing survival and improving the quality of life for every Canadian diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. With partnerships and fundraising efforts over $2,000,000 has been raised. 100% of every dollar is donated back to all their programs for this disease. This leads us to the Kicking PancreAS 5km run/walk event, in a province near you. Diane and I are planning on joining for the virtual 5km this year, maybe you should.
