show moreThe Living Full Out Show with Nancy Solari wants to support you in times of grief. Perhaps there was a time when you lost someone close to you. Maybe you had difficulty establishing a new routine without that person and had trouble moving forward. Allowing yourself to mourn and express sadness can be a source of relief. Putting your life on pause to reflect and properly deal with pain may give you more closure down the road.
Our first caller is Jean, who is having difficulty taking steps to change his occupation. Nancy shows Jean that believing in himself and saying his goals out loud can become forward momentum. Creating a network of people Jean respects in the job area he is going into can give him insight and expertise. By making a plan of exit, Jean can transition his career path at a pace that suits his needs.
Our second caller is Dominic, who wants to fit in at work despite being much younger than his co-workers. Nancy instructs Dominic to ask questions and do research on what the other employees enjoy to create more camaraderie. Dominic can also rejuvenate them by bringing a youthful energy and keeping his co-workers informed about what he likes. By being curious and showing respect, Dominic can learn more about his job through the advice they provide.
Our inspirational guest is Stacey Skrysak. After struggling with infertility, Stacey continued to try different options until she become pregnant with triplets. When there were complications with the pregnancy and during labor, she stayed strong and remained optimistic. After losing two of the three triplets, Stacey relied on others to assist with the grieving process. Stacey was able to turn her pain into a celebration of the time she had with her children. By cherishing the moments she spent with them, Stacey is able to move forward with her life.
Our final caller is Marylynne, who wants to be less anxious about her step-children coming to visit. Nancy tells Marylynne to continue to be kind and civil to make the most out of the time. If her step-children are still distant towards her, Marylynne can take pride in the fact that she made an effort. If the meeting becomes too difficult, Marylynne can find ways to reach out to friends as support and switch the energy.
When someone you care about passes away or leaves, you may feel a greater sense of loneliness. Reaching out to people who love you for support can lift some of the burden pain creates. By finding ways to remember the person you lost in a positive way, you can manage grief and live full out.
