This week's poll winner just so happened to get a recent reboot on the CW. Yes, it's Legends of the Hidden Temple. Teams will be debated, the reboot will be graded, let's just say there were already multiple plans for the intro before things got going...
One topic we didn't address on the show, especially with the temple runs, is PTSD. Yes, those original jump scares and the intensity were both legit. As we consider this a very sensitive topic, we thought it best to omit this aspect of the show for the benefit of viewers who may be affected.
If you or anyone you know needs any sort of help, or is dealing with these sorts of issues, do not hesitate to call 800-273-8255
To quote an article from Throwbacks:
Legends producer Scott Snow says kids were "so afraid of the temple guards coming out and jumping on them that they’re not thinking."
One contestant, Keeli, who competed for the Red Jaguars, says she's still affected by her time on the show to this day. "I'm 31 and I can't go to haunted houses," she told SB Nation. "I'm deathly afraid of things popping out of closets and doors, etc., at me."
“[One] poor girl got really super upset in the middle of the run, and she threw up. And unfortunately, she threw up in the Pit of Despair," Fogg remembers. Thankfully, that run didn't make the final cut of the episode.
