Levítico 7: Ofrenda a Dios con tus propias manos.

Levítico 7:28-38:
28 El SEÑOR habló a Moisés diciendo: 29 “Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles que el que ofrezca un sacrificio de paz al SEÑOR traerá su ofrenda al SEÑOR de su sacrificio de paz. 30 Con sus propias manos traerá la ofrenda que se ha de quemar para el SEÑOR. Traerá el sebo junto con el pecho, para que el pecho sea mecido delante del SEÑOR como ofrenda mecida. 31 El sacerdote hará arder el sebo sobre el altar, pero el pecho será para Aarón y sus hijos. 32 También darán al sacerdote, como ofrenda alzada, el muslo derecho de sus sacrificios de paz. 33 La porción del muslo derecho será para aquel que de entre los hijos de Aarón ofrezca la sangre y el sebo del sacrificio de paz. 34 Yo he tomado de los sacrificios de paz de los hijos de Israel el pecho de la ofrenda mecida y el muslo de la ofrenda alzada, y se los he dado al sacerdote Aarón y a sus hijos, como provisión perpetua de los hijos de Israel”.
35 Esta es la porción que corresponde a Aarón y la porción que corresponde a sus hijos de las ofrendas quemadas al SEÑOR, desde el día en que él los consagró para ser sacerdotes del SEÑOR. 36 Esto ordenó el SEÑOR el día en que los ungió, que les dieran de parte de los hijos de Israel como provisión perpetua a través de sus generaciones.
37 Estas son las instrucciones para el holocausto, para la ofrenda vegetal, para el sacrificio por el pecado, para el sacrificio por la culpa, para la ofrenda de la consagración y para el sacrificio de paz, 38 las cuales ordenó el SEÑOR a Moisés en el monte Sinaí cuando mandó a los hijos de Israel que presentaran sus ofrendas al SEÑOR en el desierto de Sinaí.

Este es el último capítulo de la sección de este libro donde explica las diferentes clases de sacrificios y ofrendas para el Señor y encontrar el favor de Dios al perdonar nuestras ofensas.
Aquí vemos que por medio de estos sacrificios y ofrendas, una porción se presentaba a Dios quemándola en el altar de bronce, y otra parte se donaba a los sacerdotes y sus familias. Así, el sacerdote siempre tendría alimento en su casa, pues se dedicaba al ministerio del sacerdocio a tiempo completo.
Al final del capítulo, se hace el resumen de las diferentes clases de ofrendas: el holocausto, para la ofrenda vegetal, para el sacrificio por el pecado, para el sacrificio por la culpa, para la ofrenda de la consagración y para el sacrificio de paz.

En el verso 30 leemos una frase que me llamó mucho la atención, cuando Dios especifica que la ofrenda debía traerla personalmente el ofrendante.
Es especial como Dios remarca este detalle. Al Señor le agrada cuando sus hijos traen la ofrenda, indicando que el ofrendante está plenamente consciente del significado solemne e íntimo que hay entre Dios y él. Que la ofrenda es ofrecida con corazón voluntario y con amor. El hecho que alguien sacara el tiempo para ofrecer la ofrenda, estaba mostrando su devoción al Señor, su sincero agradecimiento y consagración. Además, parte de esa ofrenda era traída al sacerdote, y pienso que también era un acto de agradecimiento y un gran privilegio poder poner en manos del sacerdote esta ofrenda para que él intercediera a Dios por él y también darle la porción que le correspondía a la familia sacerdotal.
El rey David fue alguien que sabía el valor de traer la ofrenda personalmente al Señor, y no daba cosas que le habían obsequiado sino de sus propios recursos.
Cuando una plaga estaba exterminando al pueblo de Israel, Dios ordenó a David traer una ofrenda para que la plaga se detuviera. David corrió hacia el lugar donde la plaga iba a pasar, en el terreno que le pertenecía a Arauna.
Arauna, al ver al rey, ofrece el terreno, unos bueyes y madera para el sacrificio, pero David respondió: “No, sino que por su precio te lo compraré, porque no ofreceré al SEÑOR mi Dios holocaustos que no me cuesten nada”. Entonces David compró la era y los bueyes por quinientos cincuenta gramos de plata. David edificó allí un altar al SEÑOR, y ofreció holocaustos y sacrificios de paz. Así el SEÑOR atendió las súplicas en favor de la tierra, y cesó la epidemia en Israel. (2 Samuel 24:24-25).

Así que, nadie podrá reemplazar tu ofrenda o cualquier cosa que hagas para Dios. Lo que haga tu pareja o tus hijos o tus padres para Dios es algo que ellos hacen de manera individual; tú tienes que traer tu propia ofrenda. Sea cosas materiales y de valor para renovar el templo o para suplir una necesidad de alguna familia, o una ofrenda monetaria, o ofrendar tu tiempo y habilidad en algún ministerio para el servicio del Reino de Dios, y hasta tu propia vida. No creas que porque ellos llevan una vida consagrada al Señor, tú y yo no debemos hacer lo mismo. De acuerdo a tus capacidades, da lo mejor al Señor, y hazlo de forma personal e individual.

Leviticus 7: Offering to God with your own hands.

Leviticus 7:28-38:
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offering to the Lord shall bring his offering to the Lord from the sacrifice of his peace offering. His own hands shall bring the offerings made by fire to the Lord. The fat with the breast he shall bring, that the breast may be waved as a wave offering before the Lord. And the priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’. Also the right thigh you shall give to the priest as a heave offering from the sacrifices of your peace offerings. He among the sons of Aaron, who offers the blood of the peace offering and the fat, shall have the right thigh for his part. For the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering I have taken from the children of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons from the children of Israel by a statute forever.’ ”
This is the consecrated portion for Aaron and his sons, from the offerings made by fire to the Lord, on the day when Moses presented them to minister to the Lord as priests. The Lord commanded this to be given to them by the children of Israel, on the day that He anointed them, by a statute forever throughout their generations.

This is the last chapter of the section of this book where it explains the different kinds of sacrifices and offerings to the Lord and finding God's favor by forgiving our offenses.
Here we see that through these sacrifices and offerings, a portion was presented to God by burning on the brazen altar, and another portion was donated to the priests and their families. Thus, the priest would always have food in his home, as he was engaged in full-time priesthood ministry.
At the end of the chapter, a summary of the different kinds of offerings is made: the burnt offering, for the vegetable offering, for the sin offering, for the guilt offering, for the consecration offering and for the peace offering. .

In verse 30 we read a phrase that caught my attention, when God specified that the offering should be brought personally by the offering giver.
It is special how God highlights this detail. The Lord is pleased when His children bring the offering, indicating that the offering giver is fully aware of the solemn and intimate meaning between God and him. That the offering is offered with a voluntary heart and with love. The fact that someone took the time to offer the offering was showing their devotion to the Lord, their sincere gratitude and consecration. In addition, part of that offering was brought to the priest, and I think it was also an act of gratitude and a great privilege to be able to put this offering in the hands of the priest so that he would intercede to God for him and also give him the portion that corresponded to the priestly family.
King David was someone who knew the value of personally bringing the offering to the Lord, and he did not give things that were given to him but from his own resources.
When a plague was exterminating the people of Israel, God commanded David to bring an offering so that the plague would stop. David ran to the place where the plague was going to happen, on the land that belonged to Arauna.
Araunah, seeing the king, offers the land, some oxen and wood for the sacrifice, but David replied: “No, but I will buy it from you for its price, because I will not offer the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. David built an altar there to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Thus the LORD heeded the supplications for the land, and the epidemic ceased in Israel. (2 Samuel 24:24-25).

So no one can replace your giving or anything you do for God. What your partner or your children or your parents do for God is something that they do individually; you have to bring your own offering. Be material and valuable things to renovate the temple or to meet a need of a family, or a monetary offering, or offering your time and ability in a ministry for the service of the Kingdom of God, and even your own life. Do not think that because they lead a life consecrated to the Lord, you and I should not do the same. According to your abilities, give the best to the Lord, and do it personally and individually.
