Having gone to sleep during a dark and stormy night (chapter 1), brother and sister Brian and Alice Latimer awake in 1810 England. Brian is informed that he must marry a local lady to get back home, and there is no insulin (Chapter 2). Alice is determined to find someone responsible and get some (Chapter 3). Meanwhile, Brian learns how to dress in the early 19th Century and needs help. He also chats with his dressing fellow about facts about diabetes and musicals (Chapter 4). Somewhat more pragmitically, Alice learns about the three lady suitors and gets her hair done (Chaper 5). Brian ventures to the nearest beach an in ways yet unclear to the reader advances the plot (Chapter 6).
