Our guest today is Tres Thomas. Tres is the Senior Vice President of Operations and the Global Director of Touring for Live Nation. Tres has been working in the concert business since his college days managing ticketing for the student body. He was the ticket guy back then, and we are pretty sure some things never change! He takes us through his journey from business management / tour accounting to ending up in the Live Nation family. He married his his high school sweetheart and they are still happily married. He speaks to the crazy touring life and how he managed to be present for his kids while they were growing up as well as both the perks and sacrifice that come along with this unique business. We learn a lot about revenue streams and the 360 deals that became famous with such stars as Madonna , U2 & Jay-Z. We speak about the future of venues after the pandemic and the biz in general.
