Today, we're seeing some rough waters out there with hazardous boating conditions until tomorrow evening. So, if you're heading out, grab your sea legs and hold on tight because of some fresh to strong northwest breezes stirring up the seas. High pressure will take the lead over the weekend, centering over Florida by early next week.

For those venturing into the Gulf Stream, watch out for those north-northwest winds picking up to 20-25 knots, especially north of Cape Canaveral, with seas building up to 8 feet.

Now let's break it down by area:

Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm - We're looking at a Small Craft Advisory in effect until Friday evening. Northwest winds of 20-25 knots, with seas ranging from 5-7 feet, occasionally up to 9 feet, but subsiding in the afternoon.

In the Volusia-Brevard to Sebastian Inlet zone, the Small Craft Advisory continues through Friday afternoon. Northwest winds 15-20 knots with seas 4-6 feet, occasionally reaching up to 8 feet.

For Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 0-20 nm, a similar story with a Small Craft Advisory until Friday afternoon. North winds of 20-25 knots in the morning will ease up, but seas will stay around 5-7 feet.

For those heading out to sea in the Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nm area, a Small Craft Advisory remains until late Friday night. Expect northwest winds at 20-25 knots and seas from 7-8 feet, occasionally up to 10 feet.

And last but not least, in the Volusia-Brevard to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm zone, Small Craft Advisory is in effect through late Friday night. Northwest winds at 20-25 knots with seas ranging from 6-8 feet, occasionally hitting 10 feet.
