The Mexican Mafia, or La Eme, are the undisputed kings of the California prison system. With the most soldiers and the most influence, there is little doubt as to who holds the keys to the yard. The BOP is keenly aware of this as well and in hopes of breaking that power structure, they plan to ship some inmates who are caught up in this RICO case and who are in leadership positions within the organization to federal prisons outside of the state in hopes of stifling their influence. Will it work?
