This Podcast explore the therapeutic mushroom Chaga (Inonotus obliquus). Inonitus obliquus also known as Chaga is a parasitic mushroom that grows on birch, alder, and spruce trees. It grows mainly in northern Europe, and especially in Russia. Like most therapeutic mushrooms, Chaga has always been recognized as a "gift from God". It distinguishes itself above all because it contains a high level of beta-glucans, triterpenes, and in particular a strong antioxidant called ‘Superoxide dismutase’ or SOD (El Enshasy et al., 2013). It also contains vitamins, minerals and all essential amino acids. It has been proven very useful in case of osteopenia or osteoporosis because of its richness in vitamin D. It contains betulinic acid which makes it also a tested remedy for skin problems. In general it is an excellent remedy for stimulating specific immune responses against infections, activating macrophages, T-Helpers Lymphocytes, NK cells and B cells Lymphocytes which in turn increase the production of antibodies.
