Uk: Літній ранок у Карпатах був теплим і сонячним.
En: A summer morning in the Carpathians was warm and sunny.

Uk: Олена, тридцятирічна історик і дослідниця родинних коренів, приїхала до рідного села.
En: Olena, a thirty-year-old historian and researcher of family roots, had arrived in her native village.

Uk: Цього року вона вирішила провести Івана Купала на малесенькій горбанці в гірському селі, де колись минуле дитинство.
En: This year, she decided to celebrate Ivana Kupala on a tiny ridge in the mountain village where she had once spent her childhood.

Uk: Давно вона покинула ці гори заради великого міста, роботу і іншу метушню, але тепер відчула необхідність повернутися, хоча б на деякий час.
En: She had left these mountains long ago for the big city, work, and other hustle and bustle, but now she felt the need to return, if only for a while.

Uk: Вони ранком була піднялася на горище бабусиного будинку, як раптом помітила старовинний ящик під пилом.
En: In the morning, she had climbed up to the attic of her grandmother's house when she suddenly noticed an ancient, dusty box.

Uk: Олена відкрила його і побачила древній, вигравіруваний артефакт.
En: Olena opened it and saw an ancient engraved artifact.

Uk: Він був вкритий символами, які вона не могла розпізнати.
En: It was covered in symbols she couldn't recognize.

En: Although many in the village distrusted Yuriy, considering him an eccentric, Olena felt he could help her.

Uk: Юрій зустрів її в старій бібліотеці, заповненій книжками та старовинними рукописами.
