WE ARE BACK!!! Welcome to Season 4 of Drinks and a Movie Podcast! This episode was recorded a couple months ago over the summer so we've been really looking forward to share it with the listeners of podcast land. This week I'm joined by Jesenia Chavez, she is a creative writer, poet, teacher, and one of the hosts of 'Que Me Cuentas? A mostly Latinx storytelling podcast'. We discuss her podcast, why Latinx stories are important, and then we dive into an indie film from 2012 directed by Aurora Guerrero called 'Mosquita Y mari. I had never seen this movie before so was happy that Jesenia brought it to my attention. We also try out Mijenta Reposado tequila, launched in December of 2020 with production overseen by Maestra Tequilera Ana Maria Romero. this company is all about sustainability and the tequila is excellent, you'll definitely want to give it a try.
