Story Transcript:

En: It was a dark and cold evening in the mountains.

En: Lars sat inside the cozy cabin and tried to light a fire.

En: He had found some wet logs and it was not easy to get them to burn.

En: Lars crumpled newspaper, carefully placed it under the wood and struck a match.

En: But the sparks flew everywhere and away from the wood.

Nb: Lars prøvde igjen, men mislyktes nok en gang.
En: Lars tried again, but failed once again.

En: He closed his eyes and thought how cozy it would be to sit in front of the flames, warm his hands and hear the crackling of the wood.

En: Lars opened his eyes and decided not to give up.

En: He went out on the porch and looked for something that could help him.

En: There, a moon shone so big and clear over the snow-covered landscape that it almost looked like it was day.

En: Suddenly Lars saw a tree that had been blown over by the wind.

Nb: Han fikk en idé.
En: He got an idea.

En: Lars ran to the tree, cut some branches and took them back to the cabin.

En: He put the dry twig on the fireplace and struck another match.

En: This time the flames crackled at once, and the fireplace lit up the room.

Nb: Lars var så glad!
En: Lars was so happy!

En: He sat down in a soft chair next to the fireplace and enjoyed the warmth.

En: Outside, the snow slowly dripped down from the sky, making the landscape even more beautiful.

En: Lars felt like the happiest person in the world.

En: The logs that had been wet and unfathomable transformed into a warm and cozy fire that created a pleasant atmosphere.

En: As Lars sat there enjoying the moment, he thought about how important it was not to give up.

En: Finding a solution to the problems can be difficult, but if you try hard enough and give it some time, you can achieve what you want.

En: Lars had learned an important lesson that night - never give up.

En: Even if it seems impossible, there is always a way to find a solution.

En: And once you find that solution, it can feel like nothing is impossible.

En: So, with this new insight in mind, Lars closed his eyes and enjoyed the silence and the warmth of the fireplace.

En: He knew that even though life could be difficult, he would always manage to find his way to warmth and happiness.

Nb: Og det var en herlig følelse.
En: And it was a wonderful feeling.
