In both Testaments of your King James Bible, Jesus Christ is alternately referred to as the Saviour and a stumblingtone, the friend of sinners and the stone that will grind you to powder. Which one you experience depends completely on what Jesus Christ is to you personally. For the sinner who trusts Him to save them from Hell, Jesus is the best friend they've ever had. For the one who rejects Him and decides to 'roll the dice' to see if their good deeds will outweigh their bad, Jesus is their mortal enemy. Jesus is not the pusillanimous, split-beard wearing and peace sign flashing fairytale figure presented to you by the Roman Catholic Church, not by a long shot. He requires exactly zero input from Mary, the saints or anyone else. He is KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS, He is the great God, and yet He was so wanting you to get saved from the curse of Adam that He took your sins on His body, and paid your price to get out of Hell. Jesus Christ is the most loving and most generous Person you will ever know, in this life or any other. But to reject His offer of pardon is to experience the full weight of His judgment upon you, something the Bible likens to being crushed by a very large and very heavy stone. Today I would like to bring you a topic not preached on much anymore, Jesus Christ the Saviour and Stumblingstone, and we hope it will be a blessing to you.
