Isaiah

Complaining Spirit

Obedient to the word of God and not filtered through the trends of todays society , so we are not fitting in to the culture today

We are to Please the Father and not the flesh

Obey even when it makes no sense

No personal benefit

Even when painful

And ...

We may question God, there is wisdom in the results

Warning lights.... you're about to be in trouble

Proverbs 4:23

Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

To preserve the new heart put in us, keep that heart with all diligence, trust your gut , that gut feeling

Gut warning when faced with a situation

God has given us a warning system, a conscious system

It can be sharpened or dulled , fear of God

Hebrews 10:22

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Understand the conscious needs to be guarded , or it will be dulled

1Timothy 1:18-19

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Paul knows shipwreck

We have been born into a sinful and fallen world

All have sinned and fell short of the glory of God

2 Corinthians 5:15-19

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

We also understand that we are washed in the blood , all things have become new , keep the new heart with all diligence , keep your conscious , we have been redeemed

A miracle if exchange , my old nature for a Christ like nature

Protect what God has rejuvenated in our life

Learn to walk after the spirit and not after the flesh

There is times that God allows certain things,

Why ?

David was putting his confidence in numbers , a large enough army

What matters is does your tribe trust in God ?

Psalm 20:7-8

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought down and fallen:
but we are risen, and stand upright.

This is the issue, the problem of the numbering of the army

David realizes his sinful pride

God will direct your steps, it is vital , He will give you direction

Your never going to outgrow the attraction of sin, stay alert and on Gaurd

Never underestimate the price of sin

Don't ignore the whispers of conscience

James 1:20-22

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

We have to make up our mind to walk in obedience. If we walk in self deception we weaken our life

Unattended we sear our conscience

Grace and mercy are always available, the issue is to ...

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

A good conscious maintains integrity

Of your consciousness is seared it no longer feels, locks your conscious up and ...

We have been made new, cleansed

How do we keep a clear consciousness?

Guard our heart with all diligence

What can we do? Spiritual disciplines , Prayer, read the word, do what it says , fasting ...

The closer you get to God, the enemy gets harder in his attack in many ways

Remain steadfast and faithful

Spend time talking with God every day

We got to be spiritually disciplined everyday

There is an army rising around
