Salmos 19:1‭-‬14 RVA2015:
Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, y el firmamento anuncia la obra de sus manos. Un día comunica su mensaje al otro día, y una noche a la otra declara sabiduría. No es un lenguaje de palabras ni se escucha su voz; pero por toda la tierra salió su voz y hasta el extremo del mundo sus palabras. En ellos puso un tabernáculo para el sol; y este, como un novio que sale de su dosel, se alegra como un valiente que emprende la carrera. En un extremo del cielo está su salida, y en el otro está su punto de retorno. ¡Nada hay que se esconda de su calor!
La ley del SEÑOR es perfecta; restaura el alma. El testimonio del SEÑOR es fiel; hace sabio al ingenuo. Los preceptos del SEÑOR son rectos; alegran el corazón. El mandamiento del SEÑOR es puro; alumbra los ojos. El temor del SEÑOR es limpio; permanece para siempre. Los juicios del SEÑOR son verdad; son todos justos. Son más deseables que el oro; más que mucho oro fino. Son más dulces que la miel que destila del panal. Además, con ellos es amonestado tu siervo; en guardarlos hay grande galardón.
¿Quién entenderá los errores? ¡Líbrame de los que me son ocultos!
Asimismo, guarda a tu siervo de los arrogantes; que ellos no se enseñoreen de mí. Entonces seré íntegro y limpio de gran rebelión.
Sean gratos los dichos de mi boca y la meditación de mi corazón delante de ti, oh SEÑOR, Roca mía y Redentor mío.


Cuando alguien me pregunta: ¿Cómo puedo demostrar que Dios existe sin sacar la Biblia? La manera más fácil y práctica que encuentro es mostrarle Su creación. Simplemente con solo mirar el poder del sol al mediodía, donde nadie puede sostener la mirada por un segundo o sus ojos se dañarían. Al observar el amanecer o atardecer que embelesa a cualquier persona que admire este evento majestuoso, y que lo podemos experimentar todos los días y de manera gratuita. O solamente con estudiar las leyes de la astronomía, de la geografía y de la biología que rigen los cuerpos celestiales, terrenales y los seres vivientes del reino vegetal y animal que todavía sorprenden a los científicos que los estudian todos los días.

Este es uno de los consejos que te doy para que puedas compartir de la existencia de Dios sin necesidad de discutir sobre puntos teológicos que muchos no entienden pero que, en cambio, sí conocen las ciencias naturales.

Otro punto que quiero que meditemos el día de hoy es la declaración del salmista delante de Dios, que con humildad le pide que le revele las veces donde él se ha equivocado y las acciones equivocadas que esté cometiendo, ya que él reconoce que como seres humanos nos cuesta reconocer nuestros propios errores. Muchas de las faltas que cometemos contra nuestro prójimo son acciones que pensamos que estábamos en lo correcto y que no le hicimos mal a nadie. Mucha veces esas personas se acercan a nosotros para hacernos ver cómo les herimos y afectamos sus vidas, e inmediatamente respondemos con una actitud defensiva, buscando razones para afirmar nuestras acciones y justificarlas pasando por alto la forma en que lo hicimos, hiriendo sus sentimientos, ofendiendo o simplemente ignorando la dignidad de la persona.
Espero que el día de hoy podamos hacer la misma oración que hizo el rey David, pidiéndole al Señor que nos traiga revelación a nuestras vidas para no vivir en el error como una persona ciega, y no convertirnos en personas arrogantes, orgullosas o simplemente testarudas porque no nos gusta que nos digan los errores, o no aceptamos nuestras propias equivocaciones. Esto puede producir que las bendiciones de Dios se acorten a nuestro favor porque Dios no bendice al injusto, y también puede suceder que distanciamos a nuestros seres queridos y amistades de nosotros mismos por una actitud tonta cuando creemos que "nos la sabemos todas", no dejando espacio a argumentos saludables donde todos compartimos perspectivas, formas de pensar y analizar, donde cada uno aprende del otro de la vivencias propias de cada persona.

Considera:
Cuando admiras la creación, ¿tu fe se afirma?
¿Has pasado por la experiencia de reconocer un error cuando alguien te lo hizo ver?
¿Has experimentado el entender algo que no sabías que estabas equivocado al presentarte delante de Dios en oración y meditación?

October 4: I was wrong and I didn't know it!

Psalms 19:1-14:
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices like a strong man to run its race. Its rising is from one end of heaven, and its circuit to the other end; and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.


When someone asks me: How can I prove that God exists without taking out the Bible? The easiest and most practical way I can find is to show them His creation! Just by looking at the power of the sun at noon, where no one can hold their gaze for a second or their eyes would be damaged. By observing the sunrise or sunset that captivates anyone who admires this majestic event, and that we can experience it every day and for free. Or only by studying the laws of astronomy, geography and biology that govern the celestial, earthly bodies and the living beings of the vegetable and animal kingdom that still surprise the scientists who study them every day.

This is one piece of advice that I give you so that you can share about the existence of God without having to argue about theological points that many don't understand but which, on the other hand, do know the natural sciences.

Another point that I want us to meditate today is the statement of the psalmist before God, who humbly asks Him to reveal the times where he has made mistakes and the wrong actions that he is committing, since he recognizes that as human beings it is hard for us to recognize our own mistakes. Many of the faults we commit against our neighbors are actions that we think we were right and that we did not harm anyone. Many times these people approach us to make us see how we hurt them and affect their lives, and we immediately respond with a defensive attitude, looking for reasons to affirm our actions and justify them, ignoring the way we did it, hurting their feelings, offending or simply ignoring the dignity of the person.
I hope that today we can pray the same prayer that king David did, asking the Lord to bring revelation into his life, so that we don't live in error as a blind person, and not become arrogant, proud or simply stubborn because we don't like being told about mistakes, or we don't accept our own mistakes. This can cause the blessings of God to be shortened in our favor because God does not bless the unjust, and it can also happen that we distance our loved ones and friends from ourselves due to a foolish attitude when we believe that "we all know it", not leaving room for healthy arguments where we all share perspectives, ways of thinking and analyzing, where each one learns from the other from each person's own experiences.

Consider this:
When you admire creation, is your faith affirmed?
Have you been through the experience of admitting a mistake when someone made you see it?
Have you experienced understanding something that you did not know you were wrong in presenting yourself before God in prayer and meditation?
