Next up on Jesus' geneology is Jacob. Jacob has a complicated life; it's full of working and scrapping his way to the top. He steals his brother's blessing and birthright, he works his way to great financial wealth and the family he wants but it all catches up with Jacob when he realizes he is going to have to come in contact with brother. Jacob's identity was wrapped up in the things he could control, but he couldn't control how his brother was going to receive him. It's from this point that Chase takes us on the journey of what Jacob's surrender looks like. He needs to let go and trust that he is not the same Jacob from his youth but he is now who God has called him to be all along.
