On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Ash Costello from New Year’s Day live at Aftershock, in Sacramento, California.

The first thing Pipeman talks about is how people had been saying that a girl can’t perform Hostile but they rocked it. Ash said she was advised not to do it because of the potential for comments but they feed off the hate and just want to do it more when that happens.

New Year’s Day is currently on tour and have just wrapped a tour with Hailstorm who are also performing at Aftershock. They have a small run of Headline shows coming up before returning home to finish off the album.

Touching on the Pandemic, Ash says she thinks the music industry has taken it the hardest with how long it took to get back on its feet, but they’re so happy to be back playing live music, but sad their run is nearly over already.

Finally, Ash pleads with you to call your local radio station and ask them to play the new single which has just come out and will be on their upcoming album.
