On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is speaking to Monkey3 live from Hellfest in France.

Monkey3 starts by describing their music, saying they’re trying to tell a story with their music and trying to bring you to a special place while listening to it. Some would describe their music as space rock. When listening to their music on the way here, Pipeman says it took him to a different place.

Monkey3 where one of the lucky ones who still managed to play some live shows during the pandemic but nothing to the scale of Hellfest, and so they feel amazing to be able to play shows with big crowds again, although they are focused on writing new music than playing gigs right now.

Monkey3 started as just a jam band, with no real plan to become the band they are today. They describe it as a happy accident, which evolved into making one record and snowballing from there to 19 years later where they are today.

Monkey3 are signed with the legendary Napalm Records, and they talk about the awesome relationship they have with them, and the total creative freedom they have with creating their music.
