“Life comes full circle.” Devon Lewis-Buchanan jumps on the Black in Sports mic to tell his amazing story of adversity, perseverance and passion. Devon’s passion for football earned him in a full scholarship the University of Louisiana Lafayette Go "Ragin Cajuns" and eventually a three day try-out with the then NFL Oakland Raiders. Although the dream of playing on Sundays being cut short, Devon created a new identity for himself that has led him to social work. His new identity has led him to creating Inspire Youths, a non profit dedicated to bringing behavioral health education to marginalized communities. The passion of serving others has put Devon back with Raiders as the new Director of Alumni Relations. “Life comes full circle,” tune in!
