Ready Player One is a sci-fi action film based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Ernest Cline. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie takes place in a dystopian future where the world's population spends most of their time in a virtual reality world called the OASIS. The story follows Wade Watts, a teenager who goes by the avatar name Parzival, as he competes in a high-stakes treasure hunt within the OASIS.
