show moreBruno spent 15 years with the Royal Canadian Navy.
Bruno is an entrepreneur, north pole explorer, Invictus Games 2016 Team Canada Captain, and speaker.
He’s the only member of the Canadian Forces to dismantle an explosive vest off of a live suicide bomber.
“What’s normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.” – Charles Addams
Speaking with Bruno is easy. He’s quick to laugh, good-natured, and humble. I don’t think there’s anyone on the planet who could talk to this modern day warrior and sense anything resembling weakness.
But when Bruno got sick and left the Royal Navy, he underwent immense, immense suffering. So much so that he gave his therapist one last shot to help him and, if nothing changed, he had his suicide planned out.
Luckily for myself and everyone this awesome and inspiring man has touched in the years since, that last therapy session proved fruitful and put him on the path towards healing.
It’s directly because of this life experience that Bruno dedicates all of his time and energy towards helping his fellow man overcome their mental health challenges.
In our conversation we cover paying attention to the stories we’re telling ourselves, the benefits of living in a remote village walled off from the rest of the world, seeing the humanity in people we perceive to be our enemies, and much, much more.
