Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning tarot, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet.

Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Knight of Cups, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.
The Knight of Cups upright is the romantic dreamer, full of charm, passion, and a desire for deep emotional experiences. He represents a movement towards emotional fulfillment and creative expression.
However, when the Knight of Cups is reversed, it suggests that this emotional energy is misdirected or unbalanced. You may be chasing unrealistic dreams, engaging in escapism, or struggling with mood swings. The reversed Knight of Cups often points to a tendency to become overly idealistic or lost in fantasy, and "out of touch" with reality. You might pursue relationships, creative projects, or goals with an unrealistic view, setting yourself up for disappointment when things don't match the idealized version in your head.
So what does that mean when we see the Knight of Cups reversed in a reading? When the Knight of Cups reversed shows up in a reading, it's a sign to check in with your emotional state. This card invites you to ground yourself in reality and focus on building something more stable rather than chasing fantasies that may not come to fruition. It may also suggest that you're dealing with someone inconsistent or unreliable in matters of the heart. If this resonates, the Knight of Cups reversed asks you to reconsider whether this person can genuinely offer you the emotional connection you seek.
So, how do you memorize this reversed meaning of the card? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Knight of Cups moment is summed up by choosing partners in my twenties and thirties who were inconsistent or unreliable in matters of the heart. I also feel I was overly optimistic about these relationships, and I would remain patient with questionable behavior, which kept me in these unproductive situations longer than they deserved. There were good people involved, and many of those men went on to be good husbands and fathers. However, I was looking for the Knight of Cups way too young, but I simply kept tangling with the wrong knight.
I think of that period as my Knight of Cups Reversed era. Remember, the key to mastering tarot is practice. As you listen to these three-minute lessons, the cards' symbolism will become more ingrained in your memory. Thank you for tuning in. Keep practicing and join us for more three-minute lessons to memorize more cards. Your dedication will surely pay off.
