Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading Tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7 Here is the transcript:
Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Ten of Swords, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.
The Ten of Swords upright represents endings, painful experiences, and a sense of hitting rock bottom. It's a card that captures the finality of a difficult situation, where it feels like things can't get any worse.
However, when the Ten of Swords appears reversed, it suggests that you're beginning to move past this difficult period. It's about healing, renewal, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The reversed Ten of Swords often points to a time of recovery, where you're starting to release the pain of the past and look toward a new beginning. This card reminds you that after the darkest night, the dawn always comes.
So what does that mean when we see the Ten of Swords reversed in a reading?
When the Ten of Swords reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign that you're in a recovery phase. This card suggests that now is the time to focus on healing and release any lingering pain that keeps you tied to the past. It may also indicate that you're beginning to regain hope and optimism. The reversed Ten of Swords invites you to trust that things are getting better and that you have the strength to rebuild, no matter how challenging the past has been.
So, what is the best way to memorize the Ten of Swords in reverse?
Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Ten of Swords moment was after a difficult and painful period of health issues in my early thirties, where I was hospitalized for a month. My thoughts were worse than the illness because I worried about my recovery and taking care of myself. I also thought a lot about how I would support myself when I didn't have the stamina to stand or walk for more than two minutes. My ten of swords upright was completing my time in the hospital and my dark thoughts. My Ten of Swords reversed were around doing the work to gain my strength back, slowly but surely making a full recovery, and feeling encouraged by the progress and support from friends and family. That's all for today's episode on the Ten of Swords reversed. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot. Thanks for listening
