A bit more about Rich...
I found my passion for working with people in conflict from my own deep experience with conflict. Coming out of a home that was an emotional "Armeggeddon", growing up in a neighborhood where at first I was a target, I spent years learning about conflict, as I got my MSW, sought controlled conflict through martial arts, studied and practiced mediation and became a certified coach. The breakthrough was the realization that conflict is vital, that out of conflict comes creativity. When we set the tone for the conflict and make it safe to explore, new understanding emerges and with new understanding we create.

The best moments working with clients struggling with conflict are when they get it, that they don't have to struggle, they can set the pace, they can determine when where and how they are going to engage. It starts inside, identifying the parts of us that are wildly aggressively reacting in ways we cant seem to control and bringing those triggers under reign, From there the possibilities are endless. Whether it be a couple, an individual getting divorced or recurring conflict in a corporate setting, the dynamic is always the same.

Working in their field has led me to develop workshops on intimacy which is all about managing dynamics that are destructive to trust and caring. When we learn to manage what we are putting out in a relationship and make it safer for our partner, the easier it is to develop intimacy which is so grounded in safety.

Building child resilience in the face of traumatic experiences is another passion and I have several workshops and many clients who have focused on this with me, looking to end the pattern of broken relationships in their family.
