So how about that Grey Cup? Rouge, White & Blue CFL podcast co-hosts Joe Pritchard and Os Davis naturally have a few takes on the surreal and shocking conclusion to the 2017 CFL season.
It begins with the damn near metaphysical question, “Was this game lost by the Calgary Stampeders or won by the Toronto Argonauts?” It’s a real glass half-empty half-full question, and RWB listeners can easily guess which co-host argues which side.
In light of the Argos’ victory, the RWB pays brief homage to the winner of the just made-up Worst CFL Prediction of the season, one Mookie Brando. As far as we know, this was Mookie’s sole prediction for the entire 2017 CFL season:
Argos will not win it. You heard it here first.

Not quite ready to move on to next (week) season, Joe gives his assessment of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers season. How optimistic is he about his Bombers…?
But the RWB can avoid the (oncoming) already-here offseason. The BC Lions have rearranged coaching/GM/front office duties to bring in former Edmonton Eskimos GM Ed Hervey, while Os’s Montreal Alouettes are flirting with a couple of coaches from the Grey Cup champion Argonauts (so weird): Corey Chamblin and Tommy Condell. Can the RWB resist throwing in our two Canadian on these moves/world-be moves? Yeah, surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.
All this and a tiny bit of speculation about the upcoming free-agent market for CFL 2018. We’re going on a brief hiatus of a couple of months or so. The Rouge, White & Blue may yet appear sporadically until February but expects to return right around the time of that Super Bowl thing south of the border.
The Rouge White & Blue CFL Podcast: Still wrapping our heads around the phrase “2017 CFL champion Toronto Argonauts”…
