On the Thursday show: Trevon Diggs tears his ACL in practice on Thursday. Joe thinks we’ll see how good the Cowboys’ depth in the secondary will be.
Amazon last week caught a “beef” between A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts. Joe is somewhat worried about this because we saw this back in 2005 with Terrell Owens. But Joe also mentioned that Brown isn’t looking for a new contract, so that ease some of the worries over what both Eagles say is a non-issue.
Minkah Fitzpatrick was the Steeler that hit Nick Chubb causing the Brown RB’s gruesome knee injury. Minkah said he’s not a dirty player. Joe agrees, but also did not see the actual hit, and refuses to look for the replay.
Something is going on in Chicago. The Bears lost their twelfth game in a row last Sunday, their defensive coordinator allegedly had his house raided by the FBI on Wednesday, and resigned from the Bears for “personal and medical” reasons. Justin Fields said he’s overthinking and not playing like himself and characterized as “robotic”. Maybe this is a frustrated team that lost 12 in a row, Joe thinks there could be more.
Finally, Joe gives his college and NFL picks for the weekend.
There is a special show on Friday 9/22 at 5 pm covering the Pennsylvania Derby, Cotillion, and other big races at Parx on Saturday.
