Prepare to embark on a sensory journey like no other, where rich flavors and expert craftsmanship collide to create an unforgettable experience. George Dickel Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey ABV: 43% Age: 10 – 12 years Mash: 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley Price: $35 Distiller: George Dickel Visual: Dark caramel with yellow hints Nose: A little weak, but well rounded and sweet. Begins with caramel, vanilla, toffee and dried corn. The glass also offers some notes of taffy, cherries, butterscotch, a bit of oak and some citrus zest. Palate: Caramel starts out but the corn cascades in close behind it. Mixed in with the waves of caramel and corn are notes of vanilla, oak, clove and rye. There is also some fennel spice milling with just a hint of mint. Mouthfeel: creamy and delicate Finish: Long yet not overbearing, crisp notes of caramel, vanilla and cinnamon rounded out with light hints of corn and oak. CAO Flathead Steel Horse Vitola: Toro 6 1/2 x 52 Origin: Nicaragua Strength: Full Filler: Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua Binder: Brazil Arapiraca Wrapper: Connecticut Habano Oscoro Visual: medium to darker brown, oily, toothy, and mottled with a large double cap Nose: hickory, salted dark chocolate, and spicy black pepper. CUT Cold Draw: musty earth, black pepper, cedar Upon lighting the Steel Horse just billows smoke and boasts a full-bodied and complex cigar with hearty notes of spice, pepper, chocolate, oak, and coffee that perfectly complements the bold flavors found in the George Dickel Barrel Select. This whiskey is outstanding and offers a symphony of caramel, vanilla, and spice, culminating in a harmonious blend of flavors.
