The 1994 German Grand Prix was a memorable weekend for F1 on track, in the paddock and even in the pitlane. Glenn Freeman is joined by Edd Straw and longtime F1 journalist Tony Dodgins – who was at Hockenheim that weekend – to discuss everything from Ferrari’s first win since 1990, Jos Verstappen’s terrifying pitstop fire, and Benetton’s mysterious ‘Option 13’ driver aids controversy.

Gary Anderson should be on the 1994 V10 podcasts. He can talk about each effect of the aero changes. Pre Hockenheim apparently the front edge of the sidepod getting to close to the ground was critical, apparently with the plank the problem became the rear end coming too far away from the ground. You can get Gary Anderson to talk about how much suspension travel they had that year and whether the 1994 cars had more downforce than the 1993 cars?
